Today, the world woke up to the extremely saddening news of basketball sensation Kobe Bryant’s tragic demise. The NBA star, along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, succumbed to death in a fatal helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant was a legend and this heartbreaking news has left a lot of people, including celebrities and his colleagues, in a deep shock. The news of Kobe Bryant’s death came in hours before the Grammy Awards 2020 was held in Los Angeles, and the fact that neither a picture or video of the basketball player was added to Grammys’ Memoriam segment has disappointed all the fans out there.

The Grammys In Memoriam segment honours singers and professionals across the music industry, who are no more with us. However, that wasn’t the case with Kobe Bryant. It is a known fact that had once signed a deal with Sony Records and tried his hands at rapping in the late 90s’. On a brighter note, the organisers of Grammys 2020 did a pay a special tribute to Kobe Bryant by displaying his picture on the stage with host Alicia Keys by saying, “Here we are together on music’s biggest night celebrating the artists that do it best. But to be honest with you, we’re all feeling crazy sadness right now because earlier today Los Angeles, America, and the whole wide world lost a hero.
