The death of ace fashion designer Wendell Rodricks at the age of 59 is a reminder that we stop our manipulating and scheming ways and start respecting one another (how much we have changed!) in today's times when the only agenda in most of us is plotting downfall of others. Sad but true. I was just talking to one of my close friends in the industry and she said, "Wendell did not belong to today's times. He never spoke ill of others, never harmed anybody, was aleays caring and loving, and wore honesty up his sleeve."
This friend also told me that little does anyone know who is behina Malaika Arora's great fashion sense. Yeah, Malaika rarely finds herself in the Bummer or Worst Dressed List. But the person who is chiefly responsible for her resplendent outfits is Wendell Rodricks.

"Wendell ne usko poora train kiya, much before her Chhaiya Chhaiya number, sometime around her MR Coffee ad days. He told her what to wear, he gave her what to wear. He took a very deep interest in her dresses, he knew she had it in her to become a top fashion icon snd he was not going to let it fritter away," says my friend.
And then? "Once Wendell came into her life, Malaika seldom erred. Even when she started wearing brands other than his, he used to give her his valuable opinion. Soon, her tastes in garments started bearing a reflection of Wendell's choices. And my word, they were most often, classy," the friend adds.
