Wendell Rodricks’ Beautiful 25-Yr-Long Journey With His Partner Jerome Marrel In Pictures
Fashion designer and activist Wendell Rodricks sudden death at the age of 59 at his Goa residence was confirmed by his family to Indian Express yesterday. This news took many activists and imminent figures from the entertainment world by shock. The designer is survived by his husband Jerome Marrel. The two lived a beautiful life over the period of 25 years high on class and elegance. Wendell Rodricks had married Jerome Marrel in Paris back in 2002.  Initially his family expressed their discomfort towards Wendell’s move in his life. He took their wedding vows in a civil ceremony, away from his homeland.

Taking you back in time, they met in Oman when Wendell was employed with Royal Oman Police (ROP) Officers Club. One of their common friends had set them up and since then began a beautiful relationship, breaking the norms of the society and thus giving hopes to many out there to come out of their shell. Going by their social media accounts, two were avid travellers and had acquired great taste in food and fashion. If one takes a glance at their social media accounts, it will be easier to believe. Wendell and Jerome had travelled over 150 countries ever since the destiny got them together. Along with visiting different countries, the two were also lovely host, fond of hosting people across the borders at their cozy abode in Colvale.  Till 2016, the duo lived in Wendell’s 450- year-old house named, Casa Dona Maria, post which the two decided to make a shift to a smaller place in order to convert his earlier residence in a museum and research centre. 




The two were actively supporting many LGBTQ communities and had also got a helpline for the community in the year 2018. Along with this, he was actively participating in social and environmental causes, leading towards betterment of the society. Wendell had always credited his partner for escalating his lifestyle in all the possible ways. As per reports in Firstpost, his partner Jerome has reciprocated to this warm gesture of Wendell by saying, “I think the confidence came by his being in fashion, which is his first passion. It came also out of the fact that I have always supported him so he can grow. Today he does not even need my advice, and does things on his own.”
