Was Shoojit Sircar’s Meeting With Ranbir Kapoor Not Fruitful?

Reports have been flowing in past few months that Shoojit Sircar is chasing Ranbir Kapoor for a biopic of the revolutionary Udham Singh.

Although Shoojit Sircar has maintained his stance that he hasn’t approached anyone yet, but the whispers are loud that Shoojit wants Ranbir to come on board for the project.

Last night, Ranbir was spotted at Shoojit’s office. He was there for quite a few hours and while leaving, like always, looked upset with paparazzi clicking him. He was overheard telling the media persons that they can’t intrude someone’s personal property, although the shutterbugs were just at the building’s gate. But that’s the usual Ranbir we have got used to, haven’t we?

Moving on, Shoojit and Ranbir have apparently had discussions on the project earlier as well but Ranbir at that time had politely refused Shoojit citing date issues. But Ranbir’s meeting with him last night, is giving some ray of hopes. It’s also possible that they were discussing an all new film now.

While we were speculating some positive outcome of this meeting, this morning, Shoojit Sircar posted a tweet which read, "Raat gayi Baat gayi and start all over again is the only and only mantra for life.”

Now, Shoojit has not directly mentioned anything here, but the content of his tweet and the timing makes us feel that probably Ranbir and his meeting didn’t go as desired. We hope our assumption is wrong, and the two announce good news of their collaboration soon.

For now, all we can say is- fingers crossed!
