Veteran Actress Reema Lagoo Passes Away

Bollywood's most loved mother, Reema Lagoo is no more. She suffered a cardiac arrest. She was 59 and breathed her last in Kokilaben Hospital, Andheri (West), this morning.
Well-known for playing the main character's mother in hit Bollywood movies like Maine Pyar Kiya, Aashiqui, Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Vaastav, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Saath Saath Hain, Reema Lagoo was considered among the great actors of the '90s. She has worked with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt to name a few.

The actress is currently a part of Mahesh Bhatt's Naamkaran that airs on Star Plus.
Upon her marriage to Marathi actor Vivek Lagoo. She took the name Reema Lagoo. The couple separated a few years later. They have a daughter named Mrunmayee who is also a stage and film actress as well as theatre director.
Her funeral will take place today at Oshiwara crematorium at 2 pm.
