The Good, Bad And Ugly Of Last Week: Shilpa Shetty, Sonam Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Kiara Advani, Yami Gautam
Time to split the GOOD, BAD and UGLY happenings of last week in Bollywood and Tellywood. You definitely reserve the right to differ with me!
Shilpa Shetty (GOOD): 3 days back, Shilpa Shetty announced the arrival of her li’l baby girl who was born via surrogacy on Feb 15, 2020. She even revealed her name, Samisha and shared an endearing picture which had the baby holding on to Shilpa’s finger. Indeed, great news in the Kundra and Shetty household.
Sonam Kapoor (BAD): Ever since filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar announced about the remake of Mr India, Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor, lashed out against the director for not informing her father about the rebooted version. A daughter taking a strong stand on her father’s behalf.
Katrina Kaif (GOOD): Last evening, our shutterbugs spotted Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt heading over at Katrina Kaif’s residence as the actress played the perfect host to the two divas. While the reason of this meeting remains unknown, it’s sweet to see these ladies bond.
Kiara Advani (BAD): Kiara Advani went topless for Dabboo Ratnani’s 2020 Calendar picture and it created a storm online. Soon, memes started surfacing and later, an international photographer even accused the picture of plagiarism by sharing the original photo on his social media page. It further escalated the controversy, but this morning, Dabboo lent clarification by saying that the picture seeks inspiration from one of his old shots that had Tabu posing topless behind the leaf of a coconut tree.
Rangoli Chandel (GOOD): Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli who is often in the news for bashing fellow celebrities and Ranaut’s contemporaries, is all set to adopt a baby girl and she made the big announcement just recently.
Raghubir Yadav (BAD): Raghubir Yadav, who has been a part of several films like Lagaan, Sui Dhaaga, Made In India, finds himself in the news for the wrong reason. His wife of 32 years, Poornima has filed for divorce and demanded Rs 10 crore in alimony.
Yami Gautam (BAD): The 65th Filmfare Awards invited a lot of criticism for being biased. Actress Yami Gautam wasn’t pleased by the fact that her performance in Bala didn’t even earn a nomination and to express her displeasure, she penned a note on social media, which even earned her support from several B-town celebs.
Ekta Kapoor (GOOD): The content czarina Ekta Kapoor is on cloud nine as she was recently felicitated with Business Woman of The Year and 'Digital Company Of The Year' for AltBalaji at the ETNow Business Leaders of the Year Awards. Double congratulations!
Kishori Ballal (BAD): Kannada actress Kishori Balal who played Shah Rukh Khan’s guardian Kaveri Amma in Swades (2004) passed away on Feb 18 after suffering from age-related illnesses. May her soul rest in peace.
Dayanand Shetty-Aditya Srivastava (BAD): Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava, popular for their characters of Senior Inspector Daya and Senior Inspector Abhijit on the show CID, filed a complaint against the makers of CIF at CINTAA for non-payment of dues.
