Swara Bhasker: 'Never Had You Seen Such A Bad-Mouthed, Manipulative And Ambitious Heroine'- EXCLUSIVE
The last time I had interviewed Swara in person was in the month of February and the actress had shed light on various controversial and non- controversial topics that comprised of her views on politics, Deepika Padukone’s JNU visit and her breakup with Himanshu Sharma.

Now, I got the opportunity to speak with Swara again, but this time through a video call, considering the current scenario. We kept it short and sweet, with Swara openly discussing her 3 best film roles, 3 best directors and 3 best scenes from her career. WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Speaking about her films, here’s what she told us, “At No 1, it has to be Anaarkali of Aarah, because it is one of my favourite roles. It's a story I was extremely passionate about. I think it's the kind of character we have never seen on Hindi film screen. Never had you seen a bad-mouthed woman as a heroine who's ambitious, manipulative, but yet, at the end of the day, you feel for her. It is the most unabashedly politically feminist film.

On No 2, will be Nil Battey Sannata, because it was a very special role, a special film, again beautifully directed. Many people advised me against taking up the film, but it actually changed my career. Plus, it's my first solo hit film because it did well at the box-office, even though it was a small film.

And 3rd would be Raanjhana, but that would be more for emotional reasons. I fell in love with Bindiya's character. We had so much fun on sets. The most memorable thing for me was that I discovered Sonam Kapoor. And Aanand L Rai is of course every actor's dream director. My happiest and most heart-wrenching memories are from Raanjhana.”

Then, she named her favourite directors and the list didn’t end at 3 because she had at least 5 names in her mind and finally, she went about narrating about her favourite scenes from her films till date.
