Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case was getting complicated with each passing day, and with each new revelations and statements by people linked to the actor turning up. A section of fans, as well as some famous personalities such as Shekhar Suman, Roopa Ganguly had been demanding a CBI inquiry in Sushant’s death. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had tweeted that the state government sent its recommendation for a CBI probe into the FIR registered by Sushant’s father KK Singh. Today, the Centre accepted Bihar government’s request for a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, and Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti is elated.
As Sushant Singh Rajput’s case is transferred to CBI, Shweta Singh Kirti took to her social media to express her joy about the news. She shared a screenshot of the news and posted it on her Instagram, calling it ‘Raksha Bandhan gift.” She captioned it, “CBI It Is!! #RakshabandhanGift #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #cbienquiryforsushant @sushantsinghrajput.” In a tweet, Shweta also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wrote, “Thank you @PMOIndia @narendramodi #Respect #JusticeForSushant #CBIEnquiryForSSR #Faith #GodIsWithUs #JusticeWillPrevail.”
Sushant’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande also shared a post on social media that read “The moment we’ve waited for has finally arrived.” She captioned it “Grateful.” Shweta Singh Kirti also retweeted Ankita’s post.

Meanwhile, Republic reported that the Supreme Court gave 3 days’ time to the Maharashtra government and the police to file the details of their investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe. The Supreme Court also reportedly refused to grant protection to Rhea Chakraborty.
