Sushant Singh Rajput’s CA Questioned By Enforcement Directorate In Money Laundering Case Against Rhea Chakraborty- Report
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly questioned Sushant Singh Rajput’s CA Sandeep Sridhar in connection with the money laundering case lodged against Rhea Chakraborty
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020, left the nation shocked. In the days following his demise, reports about several twists in the case surfaced. Recently, Sushant’s father filed an FIR in Bihar, accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetting Sushant’s suicide, among other allegations. Another development reported by Hindustan Times suggested that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will be investigating Sushant Singh Rajput's bank details. It stated that the ED registered a case against Rhea and some of her family members. The ED case was reportedly registered under the prevention of money laundering act (PMLA), and was based on the FIR filed on the basis of a complaint by Sushant’s father.
Now, as per a report in India Today, the ED has questioned Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chartered Accountant (CA) Sandeep Sridhar in connection with the money laundering case against Rhea Chakraborty. Sandeep was summoned and during the questioning, he was reportedly asked about the transactions between Sushant and Rhea. Sandeep Sridhar had earlier said to Mumbai Police that there was no major transfer that took place from Sushant’s account to Rhea’s account, except for a few thousand. In the FIR filed by the late actor’s father, KK Singh claimed, he had accused Rhea and her family members of fraud of Rs 15 crore.
A source informed India Today that in the next few days, Rhea along with her family members will also be summoned for questioning. The report also states that ED sources informed them that the probe will be focused on the alleged fraud of Rs 15 crore.
