Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, sent a shockwave across the nation. While the late actor’s final post mortem report confirmed that the actor died due to asphyxia due to hanging, a section of people suspected foul play and have been demanding a CBI investigation in Sushant’s death case. A few days ago, Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR in Bihar accusing Rhea Chakraborty of abetting Sushant’s suicide, after which a team of Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai to investigate. Now, as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar recommended a CBI investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, fans thanked him and were trending #DemocracyDemandCBIForSSR on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is recommending a CBI investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. He told news agency ANI, “The DGP spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput’s father this morning and he gave consent for CBI inquiry. So now, we are recommending CBI probe in the matter.” Nitish Kumar then tweeted that the state government has sent its recommendation for a CBI probe into the FIR registered by Sushant’s father KK Singh. Now, Sushant’s fans also joined in trending # DemocracyDemandCBIForSSR on Twitter, and many thanked Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, yesterday, Sushant’s father’s video talking about how he had alerted Mumbai Police back in February about his son being in danger surfaced. After that, Times Now also shared a copy of the alleged complaint which was made via WhatsApp by Sushant's brother-in-law, a Haryana IPS officer, OP Singh. Now, ex-DCP of Bandra, Paramjit Singh Dahiya has responded saying they never for a formal complaint and had asked them for a written complaint. Read more about it here.
