Days after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has broken her silence. In an interview with Republic, Ankita expressed her feelings and shared that Sushant was not someone who will fall into depression. She spoke about the good and bad times they shared, and that the Kai Po Che actor was very ambitious in life. Ankita was also asked to reveal her first reaction when she heard the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise.

To Republic, Ankita was quoted saying, "I picked up the call and there was this reporter and she said 'Ankita!! Sushant has committed suicide. And I was finished!.. It was something.. you don't expect something like this.. It is very difficult for me.. and for all of us.. I went out.. my mom was there.. and it was all over. All news channels had only this.. that Sushant is no more.. that he had committed suicide, that was the headline.. and I didn't know what to do.", said Ankita to Republic TV."

It was on June 14 that the news of Sushant's demise hit the headlines. As per the reports, he was found hanging from his ceiling fan in his apartment in Bandra. Now, after almost one and half month of his demise, his father KK Singh filed an FIR against his current girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty with charges of abetment of suicide, cheating and more. The FIR was filed in a police station in Bihar. A team of officials from Bihar are now in Mumbai, investigating the case.
