Sushant Singh Rajput Death: After Mahesh Bhatt’s Interrogation, Advocate Ishkaran Bhandari Raises Questions About ‘VIP Treatment’ And ‘High Profile Case’
The investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is currently underway, and it was yesterday, that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was summoned by the Mumbai Police. A report in Republic stated that the interrogation went on for three hours and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Investigating Officer (IO) were present during the questioning. After that, Republic TV’s Arnab Goswami had a discussion with panelists over why the DCP had a meeting with Mahesh Bhatt when he was called for interrogation. Advocate Ishkaran Bhandari questioned why Sushant’s death case was not a high profile case since the beginning, after a discussion about Mahesh Bhatt getting special consideration.

The video shared by Ishkaran shows a discussion about Mahesh Bhatt’s investigation yesterday, and Arnab Goswami questioned, “Why did the DCP have a meeting with Mahesh Bhatt when he was called for interrogation. Ishkaran, this is the kind of treatment that happens, when Mahesh Bhatt goes in, the DCP goes to escort him inside and have a cup of tea with him and has a meeting with him before he goes for questioning. Is he being coached or interrogated? Why does the DCP have to be personally there? Why was the location changed from Bandra Police Station to Santacruz Police Station?” After raising these questions, one of the panelists answered that they want to avoid too much exposure and the DCP was personally present in the inquiry only because it’s a high profile case.

Advocate Ishkaran Bhandari then questioned, “Yes it is a high profile case, when was the forensics called? Why was his flat not sealed? Why were his electronics not sealed? Why was it not a high profile case since day 1? Why didn’t it become a high profile case when the public started speaking. Is it a high profile case for examination and VIP treatment, but not a high profile for the victim?” Take a look:
