star opposite Shahid Kapoor in Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor's Batti
Gul Meter Chalu, is OUT OF THE RACE.

All bets are now on Shraddha Kapoor to romance Shahid in
director Shree Narayan Singh’s (of Toilet- Ek Prem Katha fame) next.
But she cannot commit to dates in January 2018. Kat has
Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan and Shah Rukh Khan’s dwarf film in her kitty.
As the Khan projects have her all booked, Miss Kaif can make time for a new
project only in March 2018. Prernaa can’t wait that long, she wants to start
shooting Batti Gul on Jan 27, 2018.

While Prernaa was rooting for Kat, and even met up with
her recently, Shree had Shraddha on their mind.
SpotboyE.com had earlier told you that Shree had
met Shraddha Kapoor to discuss the gritty drama, more than
once. The director wants to stay true to his style of filmmaking, and do
justice to the milieu Batti Gul is set in. He feels that Shraddha is the
right fit for the film that is based on electricity theft.

As things stand today, Shraddha could soon sign on the
dotted line. But if for some reason, things don’t work out with Miss Kapoor,
there’s another Kapoor lassie in the running. We’re talking about Vaani Kapoor.
She has also been in the race to act alongside Shahid in the movie.
