Bollywood ace choreographer and director Remo D’sSouza has been garnered his fame with his films and dancing skills. While the Street Dancer 3D director has been hitting the headlines lately, his recent bail plea in the 2016 cheating case has been dismissed by the Bombay High Court. According to the latest reports, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against the choreographer by the Uttar Pradesh court and is yet to reach the Mumbai Police. With the Bombay High Court dismissing the pre-arrest bail plea made by the filmmaker in the cheating case, no action will be taken against him at this particular stage.
In the year 2016, a businessman Satyendra Tyagi lodged a case against Remo D’Souza at the Sihani Gate police station in Ghaziabad (UP) for cheating. According to latest reports in The Hindu, on October 23, the magistrate court in Ghaziabad released a non-bailable warrant against the Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza after he repeatedly failed to come forth before the court despite the summons issued in the past. Meanwhile, earlier this week, Remo D’sSouza approached the Hight Court seeking some time of relief from the arrest, as he could approach the Uttar Pradesh court and seek cancellation of the warrant issued against him. After D’Souza's petition being heard on Wednesday by a Vacation Bench of Justice K.K. Tated, the additional prosecutor Jayesh Yagnik explained to the High Court about the Amboli Police station not receiving the warrant. As there is no question of taking any action against the filmmaker at this stage, Justice Tated accepted the statement and dismissed the petition made by D’sSouza.
Meanwhile, Businessman Satyendra Tyagi claimed that Remo D’sSouza cheated him by taking Rs 5 crore from him to invest in a film titled ‘Amar...Must Die’ and pledged to return double the money after the release of the film. As after repeatedly refusing to return the respective sum of money, according to Tyagi, D’sSouza also had allegedly brought in a gangster to threaten him.
