Sridevi's nephew, Saurab Malhotra received the late
actress’ mortal remains from the morgue, a few minutes back and is now headed
to the embalming unit. The procedure will begin any moment now.
Just a few minutes back,
we told you that Dubai Police has handed over the clearance letter, for the
release of the late actress’ mortal remains to the Kapoor family and the case
stands closed according to the public prosecutor’s office.
Body On Its Way For Embalming
The mortal remains will be
airlifted at 5 pm from Dubai
and the family is expected to reach Mumbai by 10 pm.
Talking about the NOC,
well, the letter says that Sridevi’s body can be handed over to the late
actress’ family, post which it will proceed for embalming.

Confirming the news on
their official Twitter handle, The Consulate General Of India, Dubai said,
“Dubai Police has handed over the Consulate and the family members letters for
the release of the mortal remains of the Indian cinema icon Sridevi Boney
Kapoor so that they can proceed for embalming.”

Reports also claim that the embalming process is
likely to take about 2 hours, post which the actress’ remains will be brought
to Mumbai via a chartered flight.
