Sona Mohapatra slams Bollywood actresses Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar and Jacqueline Fernandez for not lip-syncing to her songs to the ‘T’

Singer and musician Sona Mohapatra is pretty opinionated and vocal about her views, now does this need any explanation. From social issues to the ones pertaining to the entertainment business, her social networking account, is reflection of her thoughts. Having said that besides crooning for some singles, and she has also actively crooned for many movies, setting into the shoes of a playback singer. However, she feels these days actresses such as Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pendekar, can’t even lip-sync to their own movie song.

During a chat session with Bollywoodlife.com, the singer mentioned how lip syncing to the songs is also an art and our earlier stars had aced it to make it look believable of the stars themselves crooning it. However, she feels these days actress don’t much heed to such details and just take it lightly, by randomly moving their lips and getting done with it. Talking specifically about Taapsee and Bhumi, she crooned number for their movie Saand Ki Aankh, she in her conversation she questioned the actresses did they not hear the song before shooting for it, as she did not put any effort put by them as they lip synced this number. 

She said, “I sang the song for this young, very talented music composer ,Vishal Mishra, in this celebrated film called Saand Ki Aankh, and they are supposedly, you know, more serious actresses in it, and yet, I would like to ask Bhumi (Pednekar) and Taapsee (Pannu), did you not hear the song once before you did a lip-sync because there is no effort to even lip-sync the song in a way ki woh lage ki woh gaana bhi gaa rahe hai (it’d look like they were singing).”


She further adds, “Kyunki set pe aagaye or aise thoda muh hila diya aur cut away hogaye and actually the audience get it. Besides these two she also pulled up Jacqueline Fernandez case, who in her certain number kept her mouth close which otherwise opens when you utter a word like Saiyaan during lip syncing it. Sona said, “I think Jacqueline Fernandez.
