Who knew that one day we will get to see a picture of Karan Johar where he is actually flashing his teeth in a happy smile. Well, Smriti Irani – the union minister – shared a throwback picture of Karan, Sakshi Tanwar and herself, where the filmmaker is seen smiling while ditching his famous pout. Just like his brilliant films, Karan Johar’s pout is unmissable and to be honest, no one can ace a pout as he does. In fact many celebs even tried to do his famous pout but all they get is disappointment in their hand. If you even go through his Instagram account, you will hardly (almost never) find a photo of him smiling but hey, today we got to see something different and it is no ordinary day for us and this credit goes to former actress and the current union minister, Smriti Irani who shared a throwback picture of Karan, Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti herself.
Apart from the two leading ladies back then sharing the same frame with the filmmaker, KJo is seen smiling instead of doing his famous pout. The picture in question is from his show, Koffee With Karan, first season when Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar gained immense popularity for their roles as Tulsi and Parvati in Ekta Kapoor show’s Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii respectively.
While sharing the throwback picture on her feed, she wrote in her caption section, “POUT MIA alert Throwback to a time @karanjohar smiled in photos taken ... P.S—- notice how slim yours truly was totally blame the damn hampers for the weight gain #tbt” Seeing this out-of-the-world throwback photo on his tagged section, more than his smile, KJo was concerned with his outfit, he wrote, “Oh god!!!! That may have been the last time I smiled in a photograph!! and what was I wearing?????”
Whenever we see a TB photo or video on our feed, we always make sure to go through their comment section to know their reaction and well, here we noticed that Smriti took everyone down the memory lane. On Karan Johar’s work front, after directing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the filmmaker is all set to don the director’s hat with the magnum opus Takht which boast of A-listers like Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles.
