Shruti Haasan is known to be very open about her issues and it was last year that the actress made the headlines for her comment about being sober on a chat show. She had said that she now leads a sober life and doesn’t drink anymore. Now, in her latest Instagram post, Shruti Haasan has opened up about her hormonal issues, the plastic surgery she went through and wrote a long note shutting body shaming trolls who constantly comment about her body being too fat or too thin, which she thinks is avoidable.
In her latest Insta post, she shared a collage of 2 monochromatic pictures side by side, and mentioned in the caption that the two pictures have been taken three days apart. She wrote, “So .... I decided to post this right after my previous post and I’ll tell you why. I’m not one driven by other people’s opinions of me but the constant commenting and she’s too fat now she’s too thin is so avoidable.” She further went on to share that most often, she is at the mercy of her hormones and that the pain and physical changes aren’t easy. “Most often I’m at the mercy of my hormones mentally and physically and over the years I work hard to try and have a healthy relationship with it. It isn’t easy. The pain isn’t easy the physical changes aren’t easy but what’s become easier to me is to share my journey. No one famous or not is in a position to judge another person. Ever. That’s just not cool.”
She further admitted to having plastic surgery, and that while neither promotes it, nor is against it, that’s just how she chose to live. “I’m happy to say this is my life my face and yes I’ve had plastic surgery which I’m not ashamed to admit.” Read her full note in the caption of the post below:
Shruti Haasan received a lot of support in the comments. One fan wrote, “You go girl!,” while another comment read, “We will always love you no matter what.”
On the work front, Shruti Haasan will next be seen in the upcoming short film Devi, which also stars Kajol, Neha Dhupia, Neena Kulkarni, Mukta Barve, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Sandhya Mhatre, Rama Joshi and Rashaswini Dayama. It will release on March 2, 2020.
