Actress Shilpa Shetty along with her husband Raj Kundra welcomed their baby girl Samisha Shetty Kundra on February 15, 2020. Introducing her to the world five days later from her actual birth date, the actress shared how elated she was to embrace motherhood once again on Instagram. Introducing Samisha to the world, she explained the meaning of her name in the post and gave a glimpse of her tiny hand holding onto a finger. After pleasantly surprising her fans and followers, Shilpa spilled the beans about the name as well in conversation with a tabloid.
Shilpa revealed to Mumbai Mirror, of coming up with this name when she was 21-year-old. The actress also that she was always praying for a daughter. She was quoted saying by the tabloid, “I came up with it when I was 21. I had always prayed for a daughter.” The duo had their baby girl via surrogacy. The duo already has a son, Viaan born in 2012, who is 7-year-old now. She also revealed of trying for their second child since five years during her conversation.
She was quoted saying, “We had been trying for second child for five years. I had signed Nikamma and had committed my dates to Hungama when I got the news that in February, we were going to be parents again. We cleared our work schedules for the whole month.”
As soon as Shilpa broke the news on her Instagram account with an adorable picture, congratulatory messages poured in from her industry colleagues and fans.
Shilpa keeps on dropping snippets from the sets of Nikamma, which will mark her comeback on the silver screen after a huge gap.
