Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s first silver screen outing titled Brahmastra was delayed for various reasons. Finally, in 2020 it was announced by the makers that the movie will ultimately release on December 4, 2020. Besides Ranbir and Alia, the movie will also see stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna in a cameo appearance. With SRK remaining away from the silver screen for more than a year now, news of the actor roped in for Brahmastra made his fans heave a sigh of relief.
However, makers had left the fans on a hook by keeping the deets about his role he is essaying in the film under wraps. Well, now the wait is over! As per reports in Pinkvilla, Badshah Shah Rukh Khan is reported to be playing the role of a scientist in the film. A source to the publication also revealed Shah Rukh Khan’s encounter with Ranbir will mark the opening sequence of the film. It’s a long and crucial scene which was shot in Film City for over 10 days in the first quarter of 2020. Thus, making it much more than a cameo for the actor.
Talking about the rest of the actors they will have a significant part to play in the film leading Ranbir in his quest at some point or the other.
The source was quoted saying, “Brahmastra is designed in such a way that each of these actors play a key role in the narrative. “Nagarjuna, Shah Rukh and Dimple Kapadia are all aids to Ranbir's character at specific points in the plot and push the story ahead. All of them have clues leading Ranbir to the Brahmastra,” added the source.
