Shah Rukh Khan had a heartwarming reply, and he quoted Rabindranath Tagore, while replying to Mamata Banerjee's tweet thanking him for his contributions to fight Coronavirus

Many Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma, Rajkummar Rao, and others have joined the fight against Coronavirus by doing their bit. Shah Rukh Khan became the first B-Town actor to open his four-storeyed office for treating COVID-19 patients. Not just that, SRK’s group of companies Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation, and Red Chillies VFX announced several initiatives to support the efforts of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the government in its COVID-19 fight.

Now, West Bengal Chief Minister thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his donations, and tweeted, “Thank you @iamsrk, your contribution will help assist a lot of distressed people during these challenging times. Such humane benefaction will keep inspiring millions in this country who look up to you as their role model with respect and reverence.”  In reply to this tweet, Shah Rukh Khan once again resorted to a regional language- Bengali, to reply. He also quoted Rabindranath Tagore, and wrote, “Aami Kolkata, we believe... I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. - Rabindranath Tagore."

Not just this, Shah Rukh Khan also had the most humble and heartwarming replies to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray’s tweet and also Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet. Check out his tweets here:


Shah Rukh Khan has also pledged support to an NGO to fund food for 5500 families in Mumbai. Pragya Kapoor’s Ek Saath Foundation received support from Shah Rukh Khan through the Meer Foundation and together they will be providing daily food requirements of over 5500 families for at least a month in Mumbai.
