Shah Rukh Khan is often seen sharing pictures of himself and his family celebrating various festivals, on social media. Shah Rukh Khan shares pictures of his wife Gauri Khan and son AbRam celebrating all festivals, right from Eid, to Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali and more. While the actor’s posts are often met with some criticism and trolls for his religious practices, however, he also has the same number of supporters defending him on social media. Now, Shah Rukh recently visited the sets of dance reality show Dance Plus 5, and on the Republic Day special episode, he said that while he is Muslim, and his wife Gauri Khan is Hindu, their kids are Indians.

On the reality show, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Humne koi Hindu-Musalman ki baat hi nahi ki. Meri biwi Hindu hai, main Musalman hoon. Aur mere jo bacche hain, wo Hindustan hain. (My wife is Hindu, I am Muslim, and our kids are Indians)” The audience clapped at this and he further stated that in schools, his kids are often made to fill in forms where they have to mention their religion. He shared that Suhana once asked him what religion they are,and he said that we are Indians.


“Jab wo school gae to school me wo bharna padta hai ki religion kya hai. To jab meri beti choti thi, usne aa ke pucha bhi mujhse ek baar, ‘papa hum kaun se religion ke hain?’ Maine usme ye likha ki hum Indian hi hain yaar, koi religion nahi hai. Aur hona bhi nahi chahiye.”

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s film Zero, also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. However, the film failed to do well at the box-office and post that, he hasn’t announced any film yet.
