Shabana Azmi Car Accident: FIR Lodged Against Her Driver For Rash Driving; Veteran Shifted To A Hospital In Mumbai

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi got injured in a car accident. Yesterday, while traveling on Mumbai-Pune expressway, her car rammed into a truck leading to a major accident. While her husband Javed Akhtar escaped unharmed with minor injuries, Shabana Azmi suffered severe injuries. She was rushed to MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai. Now, she has been shifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai where she is under observation. Another update on the same states that her driver has been charged for rash driving.
As per reports, Shabana Azmi's driver named Amlesh Yogendra Kamat has been accused of rash driving and an FIR has been lodged against him. The vehicle crashed into a moving truck which led to great damage to the car as well. Now the driver of the truck reportedly named Rajesh Pandurang Shinde has filed a case against Shabana Azmi's driver for rash driving. The FIR copy read, "Due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident," as reported by NDTV.
Meanwhile, Shabana Azmi is in the hospital and under observation. As per reports, she has suffered a head injury and some injuries on her backbone. Salim Khan had given us an update on Shabana Azmi's health post the accident. He had stated, "Javed told me that there is no internal damage. She is talking and very much in senses." As she got shifted to a hospital in Mumbai, stars like Tabu, Anil Kapoor and others had rushed to meet her.
