Housefull 4 director Sajid Khan has announced that he has stepped down as the director of Housefull 4. This comes in the wake of his former assistant director Saloni Chopra's sexual misconduct allegations against him

Sajid Khan Steps Down As Director Of Housefull 4; #MeToo Effect
Following allegations of sexual misconduct from former assistant director Saloni Chopra, now Sajid Khan has stepped down from the director's chair of Housefull 4. He has been accused by his former colleague of having pulled down his pants in front of her and showing his d*ck.

Taking to social media, Sajid wrote, "In the wake of the allegations against me & the pressure being put on my family, my producer n the stars of my film Houseful4, i must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time i can allay the allegations and prove the truth. I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgement till the truth is out (sic)."

Not just Sajid, even Akshay Kumar, the lead star of the film has also cancelled the shoot of the film. Akshay released a statement which read, “I’ve just landed in the country last night and reading all the news has been very disturbing. I’ve requested the producers of Housefull 4 to cancel the shoot until further investigation. This is something that requires stringent action. I will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment should be heard and given the justice they deserve (sic).”


Twinkle Khanna also took to social media to share her displeasure on the current happenings. Twinkle’s tweet reads,“Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through. Everyone involved in Housefull needs to take a firm stance on this issue. This cannot go on.”
