Priyanka Chopra And Anurag Kashyap Roped In As Ambassadors For The Toronto International Film Festival 2020; Will Join Nicole Kidman, Martin Scorsese On Virtual Red Carpet
Actress Priyanka Chopra and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap invited to grace the Toronto International Film Festival to be hosted on the virtual platform
The novel Coronavirus has got the entire world in a tensed situation, this pandemic has resulted into many global events being cancelled or have shifted their venue from the actual locations to the digital platform. One of the recent ones to follow in the suit is Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This prestigious film festival will be taking place on the digital platform. B-town diva- global icon Priyanka Chopra and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will be part of this digital screening and virtual red carpet of this fest as ambassadors.
Scheduled to be held from September 10 to September 19; as per reports in PTI, Chopra and Kashyap will be joining the likes of Oscar winners and most celebrated figures for the international film business such as filmmakers Alfonso Cuaron, Ava DuVernay, Denis Villeneuve, Rian Johnson, Martin Scorsese, Taika Waititi and list of actors includes, actors Nadine Labaki, Isabelle Huppert, Nicole Kidman, , Riz Ahmed and Zhang Ziyi. This is for the first time, the festival is taking a digital route.
Though they have plans to screen 50 films in actual theatres, they are waiting for approval from the health authorities to go ahead with it. Also visitors can watch can enjoy this film festival by opting for drive in option to watch movie.
Along with movies being screened on the digital platform, the event will also see numerous people exchanging ideas and their thoughts during the special event held during this virtual screening.
