Nirbhaya Case: 4 Accused Hanged Early Morning; 'Justice Has Been Served' Say Taapsee Pannu, Riteish Deshmukh And Preity Zinta

Today, at 5.30 am, the four convicts in 2012's Delhi Rape Case, were hanged to death in Tihar Jail. Soon social media erupted saying Justice has been served in the Nirbhaya case. Celebrities like Riteish Deshmukh, Preity Zinta, Taapsee Pannu and others too have shared their thoughts on the same.

2012 Delhi Gangrape case shuddered the entire nation. The girl who was assaulted on a moving bus succumbed to the brutal injuries inflicted on her. Now, after 8-long-years of the brutal incidence, justice has been finally served. The 4 convicts in Nirbhaya Rape Case have been hanged to death in Tihar Jail. Early this morning, at 5.30 am, the four accused named Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh were hanged under tight security in Nation's capital. Soon social media erupted with many saying Justice has been finally served. Many celebrities like Riteish Deshmukh, Preity Zinta, Taapsee Pannu and others too shared their thoughts.

While saying that justice has served, Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, "Stricter law enforcement, harsher punishment & fast courts for quick justice is the only way to instil fear in monsters who even think of such heinous acts. #JusticeForNirbhaya." He also sent out his prayers to the family and friends of Nirbhaya.

Preity Zinta took to Twitter and wrote, "Finally the #Nirbhayacase  comes to an end. I wish it would have been faster but I’m happy it’s over.  Finally she & her parents are in peace. #RIPJyoti #RIPNirbhaya #Justicedelayed #TookTooLong." She also mentioned in another tweet that if justice was served much earlier, many crimes against women cases would have been avoided.  

Taapsee Pannu too tweeted, "It’s done. Finally. I hope the parents can finally sleep slightly better tonight after YEARS. It’s been a long long battle for them. Asha Devi." Check out their tweets below:














As per the reports, in total 7 convicts were held in Nirbhaya Rape Case. One of them who was juvenile was released after 3 years in a reform facility, and one named Ram Singh allegedly committed suicide in 2013. A video of Nibhaya's mother Asha Devi has surfaced on the internet that has her saying that she hugged her daughter's photo right after the Supreme Court dismissed the plea to seek stay on the execution of the death row convict Pawan Gupta.




Finally, Nirbhaya can rest in peace.
