Nawazuddin Siddiqui Travels To UP Amidst Coronavirus Lockdown: My Mother Got Anxiety Attack Twice Due To Loss Of My Sister

Nawazuddin Siddiqui Travels To UP Amidst Coronavirus Lockdown: My Mother Got Anxiety Attack Twice Due To Loss Of My Sister
It was recently reported that Sacred Games actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui travelled all the way to Budhana in Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, to reach his home on May 15. The actor is now under the mandatory quarantine period at home and has reportedly been asked to remain in home quarantine till May 25. Now, Nawazuddin himself updated his fans and shared a statement on Twitter. He shared that due to the recent loss of his sister Syama, his mother got anxiety attacks twice.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family suffered a huge personal loss after his younger sister Syama Tamshi Siddiqui died in December last year. She was 26 years old, and succumbed to an eight-year battle with cancer. Now, Nawazuddin revealed that he is home quarantined at their hometown Budhana, and wrote, “Due to the recent loss of my younger sister, my mother who is 71yrs old got anxiety attack twice. We have followed all the guidelines given by the State Government. We are #HomeQuarantined at our hometown Budhana. Please #StaySafe #StayHome.”

According to Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin travelled with his mother, brother and sister-in-law in his private vehicle, and that he told reporters that he underwent medical screenings at 25 points during his travel to Budhana.  They reached their hometown on Saturday after acquiring necessary travel permissions from authorities. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Nepal Singh informed the portal that they had been tested for Coronavirus and their reports came negative. However, they have been placed under home quarantine.


Meanwhile, on the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in Motichoor Chaknachoor also starring Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty. He will next be seen in Ghoomketu on Zee5, which also stars Anurag Kashyap, Ila Arun, Raghubir Yadav, Swanand Kirkire and Ragini Khanna in pivotal roles.
