Music Composer Pritam Chakraborty's Father Passes Away; Loses Battle To Parkinson's And Alzheimer's - Reports

As per the latest reports, music composer, Pritam Chakraborty's father Prabodh Chakraborty has lost the battle of life to Parkison's and Alzheimer's diseases.

Music Composer Pritam Chakraborty's father is no more. Prabodh Chakraborty breathed his last recently. As per reports, he had been battling Parkison's disease and Alzheimer's for the past two years. He was in the hospital for the past three months and was surrounded by his family members when he took his last breath. Pritam  Chakraborty, his sister and his mother were in the hospital when Prabodh Chakraborty left for his heavenly abode.

A source quoted to news agency PTI, "He had been in hospital for last three months. Pritam, his sister and mother were there with him at the hospital. He had been ill for almost 2 years and had been admitted in the hospital for three months. On Sunday, he ended the chapter of his life due to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease." The reports suggest that his last rites were carried out on Sunday, i.e., May 24, 2020 in Amboli. May his soul rest in peace.

Pritam Chakraborty is among the best-known musicians in India and abroad. He has curated music for films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Love Aaj Kal, Love Aaj Kal 2, Kalank, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Barfi, Gangster, Life In A Metro and many more. He recently took part in I For India concert organised by Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar in order to raise funds for those affected due to the lockdown imposed post the outbreak of Coronavirus. He had even tweeted expressing grief over those affected due to Cyclone Amphan.
