Ma Anand Sheela Chooses Alia Bhatt Over Priyanka Chopra For Her Biopic; Says 'She Has That Spunk'

Ma Anand Sheela aka Sheela Biernstiel, a former spokeswoman of Osho Movement and (Personal Secretary) of Osho (Rajneesh) made it crystal clear that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is not playing her onscreen and she has also not given any kind of permission for the same. But earlier, Priyanka has officially announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she’ll be portraying the role of Ma Anand Sheela in her biopic. But Ma Anand Sheela confirmed that a legal notice has been sent to her via email.
During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Sheela revealed, “I told her I do not give her permission to do [the] film because I have not chosen her. In Switzerland, we send legal notices very simply. Ma Anand Sheela even gave a nod to the fact she has not received any revert on the mail. Ma Sheela Anand stated, “Not even a courtesy letter that they have received my notice but that’s not an issue, maybe she never had the opportunity to meet me or make time to meet me and it is no big issue. no everybody has time to meet me.”
She personally feels that Priyanka Chopra is not the apt choice for her character in Ma Anand Sheela Biopic and only Alia Bhatt can pull off that character with ease and comfort because Raazi actress Alia Bhatt has that ‘spunk’. “I feel she has the spunk in her that I had. Spunk is very necessary and it is very natural, it is not artificial, not cosmetic, it is genuine,” said Ma Anand Sheela.
Alia Bhatt has a busy 2020, with movies like Brahmastra, Sadak 2, RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other hand, The Sky Is Pink actress Priyanka is gearing up for her first Netflix original The White Tiger with Rajkummar Rao.
