Kriti Sanon Bags Another Film; To Play Lead Role In Rahul Dholakia’s Female-Driven Project
Actress Kriti Sanon has been giving consistently stellar performances in her previous movies like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi. She has now been roped in to play the lead protagonist in Raees director Rahul Dholakia’s next directorial venture.

The movie is supposedly a female-driven thriller and Kriti will be seen playing a media professional. The film is untitled for now and the shooting is scheduled to commence from August 2019. This Kriti Sanon starrer is written by Bilal Siddiqui  and produced by Sunir Kheterpal. Rahul Dholakia, apart from being the director is also co-producing this film.


The news has been confirmed by Kriti and the actress told Mumbai Mirror, “I have been waiting for the right female-driven thriller to come my way and this film ticked all the boxes and has all the elements of a commercial film. It's an entertainer that has a powerful core idea and will connect with the audiences without being preachy about the subject.” Reports suggest that the movie might be released in the first half of 2020.


She further adds, “I play a media professional for which the research has already started and I am looking forward to beginning this journey in August.” Sunir Kheterpal, the film’s producer further revealed “It is a delight to package this subject with Rahul and Kriti. We will start shooting in August and the Film will be readied for release in the first half of 2020. The Film is in pre-production with Rahul, Kriti and the team doing a week-long workshop in end July before embarking on a start to finish schedule in August.  The core idea behind this taut thriller has excited all of us."

Kriti Sanon will be next seen in Housefull 4 with co-stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Rana Daggubati amongst others.
