Karni Sena DEMANDS Prasoon Joshi & Smriti Irani’s RESIGNATION, Says ‘Will BURN Their Effigies’

A few days back, CBFC along with the reviewing committee asked the Padmavati makers to rename the film as Padmavat and make a few edits. BUT road is still not smooth for Sanjay Leela Bhansali yet.

Sena is at it again and has dismissed CBFC’s suggestions. They have not only said
that the government should be ready for consequences if the film hits theatres
but also demanded I&B Miniter Smriti Irani, CBFC chief, Prasoon Joshi and Minister
of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore’s resignation.

to DNA, while condemning CBFC for its decision and demanding a complete ban on
Padmavati, President of Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi spoke at a press
conference and said, "Protest against Padmavati will continue across India and
during the demonstration we will burn the effigies of Central Board of Film
Certification (CBFC) chief Prasson Joshi. We also demand his resignation."

He
further added, “After watching Padmavati, Arvind Singh and KK Singh said this
film will ignite protests. Despite that, Prasoon Joshi has given the green
light to the movie. If CBFC wanted to take a decision on their own, why they
did they invite people from our community? We will soon protests against this
movie and will burn effigies of Smriti Irani and Prasoon Joshi.”
Well,
looks like there’s still a big amount of struggle Bhansali has to go through before Padmavati releases.
