Irrfan Khan’s sad demise has left the industry in a state of shock, along with veteran stars, young actors such as Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and more too paid their last tribute to the actor via their social media posts

Entire film fraternity is mourning the untimely death of iconic actor Irrfan Khan. Breathing his last today morning at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, amidst the lockdown social networking platforms are just flooded with heartfelt condolences for the actor’s family and many expressing it to be a huge loss to the industry.  The actor was laid to rest at 3 pm just after a couple of hours of his death in the presence of his family and close relatives in Mumbai. Filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj and Tigmanshu Dhulia was also present at the funeral.

Following Amitabh Bachchan, Subhash Ghai, and many veteran artists came social media post of the actors from the younger lot. The list includes Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and a few more.  While some just penned a note for the late actor, few who were fortunate enough to share screen space with him shared stills of him. Alia Bhatt just posted a picture of the actor with red heart emoji as her caption which said it all. Arjun Kapoor who starred in Gunday had Irrfan Khan in a cop’s role, thus making this young actor very fortunate in his career to have worked with him.

Besides them, Arjun Rampal who worked with Irrfan Khan in D-Day, he wrote in his post, “The very very special you Irrfan. I can’t believe they all just memories now. Just heartbroken. Kartik Aaryan too spoke about how he always tried to ace Irrfan's Maqbool scene but failed. He tweeted, "My first ever acting was in a workshop for my first film where all I had to do was try to recreate a scene of Irrfan sir from Maqbool. And I failed. I keep trying that scene often. And I fail.
