The violent face-off between India and China on the border has cost the country lives of 20 Bravehearts. Like we are all well aware, India and China have been locked in a face-off since May this year in the several disputed areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh. It was reported yesterday that one commanding officer of the Indian army and two jawans were killed during the face-off. Since then, it was confirmed that 20 Indian army soldiers were martyred. Saddened by the news, actress Anushka Sharma reacts.

Taking to her official Twitter handle, actress Anushka Sharma tweeted, “As a soldier's daughter, the death of a soldier will always hurt hard and feel personal. The sacrifice of their lives and the sacrifice of their families will always leave a void. I pray for peace and I pray for strength for the brave bereaved families #IndianArmy #JaiJawan.”

Anushka Sharma tweeted as a soldier’s daughter and not a celebrity. A daughter of an Indian Army soldier, Anushka mentioned how the death of a soldier will always hurt hard and feel personal to her. The actress shared how the sacrifice of the lives of a soldier and the sacrifice of their families will always leave a void. The actress then went on to pray for peace and strength for the bereaved families of the martyrs.

Meanwhile, apart from Anushka Sharma, hubby Virat Kohli also tweeted saluting the martyrs. Celebrities Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, and others also tweeted saluting the sacrifice of the Bravehearts.  Also Read: India-China Border Clash: 20 Soldiers Martyred; Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal Salute The Bravehearts
