Hrithik Roshan Lashes Out At Professor Shaming Student For Stuttering: ‘No Better Than Brainless Monkeys’
Hrithik Roshan, one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, has always been vocal about his struggles growing up with a speech disability. So when he came across a tweet narrating an incident with the user’s cousin, who was bullied for stuttering by his professor, Hrithik stood up for him and called out people who shame others for their disabilities on Twitter. He slammed the professor, and said that his judgement was irrelevant and that stuttering is not something to be ashamed of.

A Twitter user claimed, “My cousin who has a stuttering issue, was giving a presentation in his class when the HOD/ lecturer told him *if u cannot speak properly maybe u shouldnt study* infront of the entire class. He hasn't come out of his room since this incident.” She further wrote, “He hasn’t come out of his room since this incident. He now refuses to go back to his university and face anyone in the classroom or study, his confidence is shattered.” The Twitter user shared a series of tweets, questioning how someone can be so insensitive.

Replying to the Tweet, Hrithik wrote, “Please tell your cousin that that professor and his judgement both are irrelevant. Stuttering should never hold him back from dreaming BIG ! Tell him it’s NOT his fault and it’s NOT something he needs to be ashamed of. People who shame him are no better than brainless monkeys.”

Hrithik Roshan opened up about his stammer and the struggles he had to go through as a kid, during an interview with The Quint back in 2016. He said that school and college for him was hell because of his stammer, and that kids can be quite mean unintentionally.
