Actor Kartik Aaryan has been winning hearts with his interesting and informative series Koki Poochega. On the other hand, the actor also mentioned recently that he has been waiting for the film industry to resume. Meanwhile, earlier reports stated that Alia Bhatt’s starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is looking for its male lead. As there are speculations that actor Kartik Aaryan was approached for Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi after he was spotted at filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office , the actor reveals he wishes to feature, but there’s something stopping him. Speaking on Filmfare's 10 Minutes of Happiness, Kartik Aaryan revealed the one thing he would ask actress Alia Bhatt as his talk show character Koki. Kartik said, “I'll ask Alia to suggest my name to Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir." During the interaction, the actor hinted that he may be part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi by talking about how he will ask Alia to suggest his name to the filmmaker. Moving on, as Kartik shared what he would ask Bhatt, the actor also expressed how he wishes to be a part of SLB’s film.
Talking about wanting to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kartik said, “I wish I was part of a SLB film." On the other hand, since last year, there have been speculations that the Love Aaj Kal actor was approached for Gangubai Kathiawadi after he was spotted leaving the filmmaker’s office after some work related meetings. Other than Kartik, there have also been rumours that Ranveer Singh or Ranbir Kapoor were considered to play the role opposite Alia Bhatt.
Meanwhile, as nothing much about the cast is known as of yet, it is also reported that Alia Bhatt’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi is the first film to go on floors after the lockdown. Apart from that, on the work front, actor Kartik Aaryan who was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal has films Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Dostana 2 and an untitled 3D action movie with Tanhaji director Om Raut in the pipeline.
