Farhan Akhtar Doesn’t Feel Iconic Film Sholay Is Perfect, Cites THIS Reason
Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay has remained an audience's favourite for years now. Known for setting friendship goals with the bond showcased between Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra's on screen character, introduction of the iconic villain Gabbar Singh and some iconic dialogues, the movie is wholesome entertainment. But unlike others and millions out there filmmaker- actor Farhan Akhtar doesn’t find Sholay a perfect film as stated in Republic.com. The actor has watched the film 50 times, but nay it doesn’t seem to impress him.

Also he feels the Big B’s role in Deewar is much more impactful than Sholay. Also having opinions about his work, he feels he is better when he is in front of the camera than behind the camera in the capacity of a director. Meanwhile the reports also state the actor finding inspiration in Hollywood filmmaker Robert De Niro. Also Farhan as per stated in reports doesn’t believe in watching the same role over and over again, rather it is an actor’s job to push his limits and try out different roles.

Also a movie just should not entertain the audience, but should be able to charm with its comedy, drama and fun element.

Besides being an actor, in the capacity of a filmmaker he also feels one should mix and match genres as well. And to nail it all, he feels the pattern of storytelling and performance should also vary from project to project ultimately leading to entertainment.
