Faizal Siddiqui Acid Attack Video Row: Sona Mohapatra Furious With TikTok Star; Cites Salman Khan's Example Too

TikTok star Faizal Siddiqui is being discussed a lot these days because of his controversial video. Fans, as well as, celebrities are slamming him for promoting acid attack with his latest video. He has run into a legal mess as the National Commission of Women has filed a complaint against him. Now, it is singer Sona Mohapatra who has raised her voice against the controversial video and even dragged in Salman Khan to talk about how demeaning women is normalised in India.
Responding to a tweet, Sona recalled the times when Salman Khan reportedly smashed bottles on his girlfriend's head and yet he is one of the biggest superstars of the country. She wrote, "Dear @aaliznat ,nothing before & after the ‘spliced’ video u were defending of this guy cd justify it.Demeaning women is normalised in our culture.We grew up with stories of SalmanKhan,breaking bottles on his girlfriends head in public,yet the country’s biggest star?Needs to stop." This was in response to a tweet that slammed a netizen for defending Faizal Siddiqui.
Earlier, it was acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who expressed her disappointment with Faizal's video. Thanking the National Commission of Women for taking action against him, she stated that people are striving hard to fight the menace of acid attack and also called people like Faizal a 'curse' to the society.
As the controversy around the video caught fire, Faizal took to Instagram to apologise and even give his clarification. Stating that he had no intention to hurt someone, Faizal narrated that only a part of the video went viral.
