Doctor’s Day 2020: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Wife Tahira Kashyap Shares A Pic From Her Last Chemotherapy Session, Expresses Gratitude
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Wife Tahira Kashyap, who is a cancer survivor pens a note on her Instagram thanking healthcare workers on Doctor’s day
On the occasion of Doctor's Day, actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap, took to her Instagram account and penned a note thanking them. The actor’s wife who is also a budding writer and director, shared a throwback picture from the year 2019, when she had her last chemotherapy session. For the unversed, the actor’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, after which she underwent a mastectomy procedure. Tahira remained vocal about her battle with the deadly disease, and the lessons she learnt during her recovery phase.
The picture shared by Tahira is from her 12th and last chemo session which took place on January 5, 2019, posing with the team, who were by her side. Paying her gratitude to them, she mentioned how back then she had shared a box of chocolate as a token of thanks. Confessing not knowing about the existence of this special day too, she wrote, “I never knew #doctorsday even existed earlier, but my recent health ordeal has made me value all of them so much! This picture is from the day of my 12th and last chemotherapy session! Can never forget the date. 5 January 2019. The cotton swab on the shoulder blade is of the port. And the nurse in green is holding a box of chocolates that I had shared with them all, expressing my sincere gratitude! big thank you to my doctors especially Dr Mandar Nadkarni.”
She also mentions if COVID-19 pandemic wouldn’t have got us house arrested, she would have paid a visit to them and once again shared a box of chocolates. “Had this covid situation not been there I would have paid a visit to the doctors and nurses with another box of chocolates who really take care of all of us!,” she added.
Ending her note by mentioning how she would never keep the doctor’s away, Tahira Kashyap wrote, “No matter how many apples I have, I am never keeping the doctors away !"
