It’s a known fact by now that Kapoor & Sons filmmaker Shakun Batra is collaborating with Karan Johar yet again. Batra announced his untitled project that stars Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Gully Boy fame, Siddhant Chaturvedi. And then, we had exclusively reported that Dhairya Karwa who will essay Ravi Shastri’s role in Kabir Khan’s sports biopic 83, has been signed on the dotted line for this film.
Now, we bring you an interesting update on his character. Well, he will be romancing Deepika Padukone in the film. Though the length of his role is under wraps for now, it’s indeed a BIGGIE in his lap, as he gets to romance one of the most powerful actresses in Bollywood right now.
While Deepika and Dhairya will be seen in 83, they don’t have any scenes together as such. The actor who was last seen in Vicky Kaushal's National Award winning film Uri: The Surgical Strike is surely on cloud 9. A source close to the film told us, “The film concept is a complicated love story and hence, the casting and unusual jodi. It is believed to be a relationship drama where the characters find themselves stuck in a morally ambiguous zone.”
The film will go on floors early next year and will hit the screens on February 12, 2021.
