Deepika Padukone Reacts To Working On Hollywood Projects; Says ‘It’s Not Like I’m Actively Seeking Something In Hollywood’

Deepika Padukone has carved her niche in Bollywood and the actress garnered a huge fan base with her immense popularity over the years. The actress last impressed us with her role as Malti in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak and is set to star alongside Ranveer Singh in a supporting role in the upcoming flick ’83. While Deepika is loved in Bollywood, the actress was loved for her role in the Vin Diesel’s 2017 film xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. As the actress has not worked in any overseas projects ever since reacting to the same, in an interview, she explained the reason behind it.
The ever-talented and beautiful actress, Deepika Padukone entertained fans worldwide with her stellar performance in the 2017 film xXx: Return of Xander Cage. In an interview with Hindustan Times recently, when asked on why she has not taken up films in the West and also if she is looking for more Hollywood projects, Deepika said that she does not evaluate films as Indian or International. She added that films for her are as a medium where she can express herself and shared that if the opportunity is out of India, it is great.
The Chhapaak actress went on to reveal that she has always been content in matter of films and shared that if she gets an opportunity out of the United States or another part of the world, she is happy to explore that too. Talking about why she did Xander Cage, Deepika said, “. I did Xander Cage because it was an extremely powerful, strong character to play.” She also mentioned that it is all about the character, role and the film for her and added, “It’s not like I’m actively seeking something in Hollywood.” Deepika also shared that whether India or any other part in the world it is always great content that she seeks.
