Chandrayaan 2: See PM Narendra Modi's Heartwarming Response To Anushka Sharma, Shekhar Kapur, Sonam Kapoor’s Tweets On ISRO
India, on the night of September 7, was close to creating history as Chandrayaan 2’s moon lander Vikram was expected to reach the lunar surface. However, our scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) ground lost contact with the Lander, just 2.1 km before its smooth landing on the moon. This sure created a stir of sadness among Indians, especially ISRO chief K Sivan, who broke into tears. And, in no time, an optimistic Prime Minister Narendra Modi consoled Sivan by offering him a tight hug, video of which had gone viral on social media.

As a response to the same, various celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Shekhar Kapur, Varun Dhawan and others took to their social media accounts and praise PM Modi’s heart touching gesture. Now, the Prime Minister has responded to all the celeb appreciations with some extremely inspiring messages. Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur had shared a picture of PM Modi hugging K Sivan and written, “When a picture is worth 1.2 billion hearts,” to which PM replied, “1.3 billion Indians are with ISRO. They make us proud with their resilience and spirit of exploration.”

“Indeed, we are proud of our scientists. ISRO has inspired thousands of young minds to take up science and that is a victory on its own,” wrote PM Modi, in a response to Anushka Sharma’s tweet. Heaping praises over ISRO’s efforts, the Prime Minister replied Sonam Kapoor by writing, “Hard work and dedication has made ISRO a pioneer in space technology and the same passion will continue to ensure they scale newer heights.”

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi, in his speech, hailed ISRO and assured everyone that Chandrayaan’s next mission will be stronger and better. “We came very close but we need to cover more ground in the times to come. Learning from today will make us stronger and better. The nation is proud of our space programme and scientists. The best is yet to come in our space programme. There are new frontiers to discover and new places to go to. India is with you. The effort was worth it and so was the journey. It will make us stronger and better. There will be a new dawn and better tomorrow... I am with you, the nation is with you.
