Bollywood’s Favourite Eateries Hakkasan, Yauatcha Struck By Coronavirus As Staff Member Tests Positive; India Registers Record 5000 New Cases In 24 Hrs
As India registers a record spike in the number of Coronavirus cases, 4987 and counting, to be precise in a period of 24 hours, there’s some unfortunate news in store for Mumbaikars. City’s beloved restaurants, Hakkasan and Yauatcha have completely shut down online deliveries after a staff member tested positive for Coronavirus. The two have a loyal customer base among the celebrities and most nights it’s difficult to find a table at the popular eateries.

From Ranbir Kapoor and family to Malaika Arora and the girls, the restaurants are a hotspot for celeb spotting and their kitchens were up and running, until yesterday, to deliver delicious goodies via online orders. But not anymore. In a statement issued by KA Hospitality that runs the hotspots, “Inspite of taking all precautionary measures and ensuring the utmost level of hygiene, we are saddened to announce that a team member has tested positive for COVID-19 on 16th May, 2020.”

“We are personally reaching out to everyone who has ordered from us in the last 14 days to let them know of the same, so they can take necessary medical advice should they indicate any symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and/or self-quarantine. The central kitchen is closed indefinitely for deep sanitisation and the full team is in self-isolation and being tested. In the meantime, if you have any queries please contact us at info@kahospitality.com and we will do our best to answer them,” read the rest of the statement.
