After tying the knot in 2017 and even prior to their dream wedding in Tuscany, the actress often accompanies her hubby and Indian cricketer and captain Virat Kohli on his cricket tournament. Hence, she has been targeted by the trollers for Virat’s bad performance in the past quite often, adding one more to list of incidents now, is former wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer revealing that the actress was being served tea by selectors during ICC World Cup 2019.
This comment of Farokh Engineer got the actress fuming and she slammed him in her long statement for this misinformation, the actress this time not turning a blind eye to it, released a statement, unraveling the truth. With Anushka’s official statement, the former wicket-keeper immediately apologized for his remarks calling it 'in jest' statement. Followed by the actress' statement, she got applauded by her colleagues from the industry. Fashionista Sonam Kapoor posted emoji of muscular arms , appreciating Anushka for her apt reply. Lastly, Parineeti Chopra also commented, writing, “Love you Anushka!
