Ankita Lokhande Reveals Why She Didn't Attend Sushant Singh Rajput's Funeral: 'I Knew If I See Sushant In That State I Will Never Be Able To Forget That'
In an interview with Arnab Goswami of Republic, Sushant Singh Rajput's former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande revealed why she did not attend his funeral

After almost one and half month of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has broken her silence and expressed her feelings. In an interview with Arnab Goswami of Republic, Ankita spoke at length about her relationship with Sushant and how she cannot accept the narrative built around his death that he was a depressed man. Ankita was the one who did not attend his funeral, however, she did visit his family at his Bandra residence. In the interview, she also revealed why.
Ankita said that she decided to not attend Sushant Singh Rajput's funeral as she could not muster the courage to see him in that state. She said that she knew that she wouldn't be able to see SSR in that state. "I could not make it because somewhere I knew that if I see Sushant in that state, I have my whole life to live, and I will never be able to forget that phase. Isliye I decided that I cannot go to the funeral and apart from that I wanted to meet his family, I wanted to make sure they were okay. Jo jaana tha woh chala gaya but Daddy the. It was my duty to make sure they were okay," she was quoted saying. Ankita further revealed that when she met his family members a day after his demise, they were in a bad state.
When asked how she got to know about Sushant's death, she said that she was sleeping and woke up to a call by a reporter saying Sushant is no more. "I was finished", she said further.
