Amitabh Bachchan who was recently discharged from Nanavati hospital had to pull out of an event in Sharjah as he is currently unfit to travel overseas.

Amitabh Bachchan Turns Down An Overseas Event Due To His 'Inability To Travel In Current Condition': Report
Amitabh Bachchan had been admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai just a few days ago. He was there to seek treatment for the stomach infection. Now, he has been discharged and is back home. However, his health condition still does not approve of his travel overseas. He was to attend an event in Sharjah, however, his trip had to be called off. Amitabh Bachchan was supposed to attend a Bookfair in Sharjah but now the organisers have issued a statement saying that he could not attend the event because of his 'inability to travel in current condition'.  

The official Twitter handle of Sharjah Book Authority has released a statement stating that Big B could not present at the event that took place on October 30. "(Amitabh Bachchan) was unable to fulfil his scheduled attendance at the book fair on October 30 at 5 p.m., owing to health issues, which make him unfit to undertake overseas travel," reads a part of the statement.

Further, the statement read, "Bachchan sent his regards to the millions of fans who were eagerly anticipating to hear from him, in person, at the book fair. He expressed profound dismay for missing this opportunity to meet and address them." Take a look at the tweet below:




While Amitabh Bachchan is still getting back to normal, he made sure to have a good Diwali along with friends and family. A big bash was organised at his residence in Jalsa with a lot of celebrities in attendance. From Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and many more, it was one hell of a night for the stars and the Bachchans.
