Alia Bhatt Says, 'Sadak 2 Is Truly A Homecoming For Me,' Also Asks Fans To Watch Out For The Villain Of The Film
Alia Bhatt released her upcoming film Sadak 2's poster during the virtual press conference of Disney Plus Hotstar, an hour back. During the press conference she also shared  the excitement of doing a film with father Mahesh Bhatt.

Alia said, "The journey of this film started with three people- Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt and of course it was produced by Mukesh Bhatt. Aditya Roy Kapoor and I are the newbies to this and this is one of the reasons I am actually really missing all of them. They combine elected me to represent the film here. Sadak 2 is more than a film for me as this is my homecoming in the true sense- my whole family has come together to make it."

Alia further spoke about the film's plot and revealed, "It's a continuation of Sadak and not a recreation. Journey of Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) goes ahead and he meets these two new people. I will not reveal the character names as I want to leave a little mystery. It's a new love story but there is a thrill also as Maharani (Villain) was a very iconic character. We also have a villain just like him. But the villain is very different in this film. And it will be totally unexpected which I can tell you for sure.

But one thing which I am most excited about is when I was in school I used to wait for my father's films to come out as I used to feel pride when people used to say, 'Bhatt Camp ke gaane itne lajawab hai'. I always waited for that one day when my father would direct a film for me and that actually came true. So aaj main proudly keh sakti hoon ki main Bhatt Camp Ke gaane ka chhota sa hissa hoon."

Talking about the poster which has no star cast on it, Alia read out her father Mahesh Bhatt's message behind it and said, "When we first had the conversation that should be our first communication to which my father said, 'I want the road and I want Kailash at the end of the road.

There is a significance of Kailash in our film. And when I told him what will I answer when people will ask me why are there are no actors on it, to which he said, 'you just read out these lines which are: Mount Kailash, the aged mountain has footprints of Gods and sages. It is the abode of the gods of all gods, Lord Shiva. So, do we really need something else or actors in the sacred space? Since the beginning of time humanity found its shelter in Kailash, this is the place where all search ends. Sadak 2 is the road to love."
