Akshay was his witty self at the event and the banter took a turn when Akshay was asked about his take on Ranbir Kapoor’s recent confession that “peeing on the road is too much fun.” Ranbir has been caught in the act once or twice too. Watch The Video To See Akshay’s response:

Akshay was taken aback by the question and then said with a smile:  "Usko mazaa aa raha hai to main kya bol sakta hoon. You, media persons should say something; you have the power of the pen and the camera. As for my message to him, I will just send him a DVD of the film."

At the launch event, Akshay brought in the cleanliness police from Mumbai's BMC. These men and women are responsible for catching and fining people who dirty the streets of Mumbai.

Akshay said that the issues raised in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha were not just restricted to rural areas, as Mumbaikars too are openly defecating on beaches and railway tracks.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is set in rural India and Akshay Kumar plays a man who will do anything to find himself a wife, even marry a buffalo to ward off the ill effects of his kundli.

Bhumi is a feisty small town girl and they fall in love and get married. But soon she realises that her husband’s home does not have a toilet. Their love story hits a roadblock when Bhumi refuses to perform her morning ablutions in the open and demands a toilet.

What follows is a revolution of sorts with Akshay and Bhumi leading it.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is jointly produced and presented by KriArj Entertainment (Prerna Arora & Arjun N Kapoor) and Viacom 18. The film releases on August 11.
