Ajay Devgn is all set to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of Karthi’s 2019 Tamil blockbuster Kaithi. The film is scheduled to release on February 12, 2021

Ajay Devgn is on a roll! The actor, who was last seen in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, along with Kajol and Saif Ali Khan, already has a few films lined up to release in 2020. Now, the actor has just confirmed yet another project. The actor will be playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Karthi’s 2019 Tamil blockbuster Kaithi. He also announced the release date of the film- February 12, 2021. Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Yes, I’m doing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi. Releases on February 12, 2021.”

Ajay Devgn’s fans are really excited about this and the actor will be seen stepping into the shoes of Karthi in the official Hindi remake of Kaithi. The original film Kaithi, revolved around an ex-convict whose plans of meeting his daughter for the first time after his release from the prison gets hindered after an inspector conducts a drug raid. The film also starred Dheena, Arjun Das, Ramana, and George Maryan. The announcement of Kaithi being remade in Hindi was made last year, but nothing about the cast was revealed.

The Hindi remake of Tamil film Kaithi, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, will be co-produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Reliance Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures.


Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Maidaan, a sport biographical film, Bhuj: The Pride Of India and Chanakya. He will also have an extended cameo role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
