After Zaira Wasim Deletes Her Social Media Accounts #StandWithZaira Becomes The Top Twitter Trend
Last year, Zaira Wasim, who rose to fame with her spectacular performance in Aamir Khan's Dangal, withdrew herself from Bollywood citing religious reasons. The actress may have gone away from the glamorous spotlight but she made sure to treat her fans with her social media presence across all the micro-blogging sites. Zaira has been quite active on social media post her decision of quitting Bollywood in July 2019. Well, the Secret Superstar actress is once again grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
A day back, Zaira took to Twitter to justify locust attacks and floods in India by quoting a Quran verse. Her Tweeted read, “So We sent upon them the flood and locusts and lice and frogs and blood: Signs openly self-explained: but they were steeped in arrogance- a people given to sin -Qur’an 7:133” Twitterati were quick to slam the actress. The tweet received a lot of flak from the netizens which made her delete her Twitter and Instagram account completely. 

Now, Zaira Wasim’s diehard fans have come out in support of the actress and have made new hashtags #StandWithZaira and #StandWithZairaWasim trend on Twitter so much so that it has now become one of the top Twitter trends in India. Zaira Wasim has won many accolades for her performances in films like Dangal and Secret Superstar. She has earlier been honoured with a Filmfare Award, National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dangal and also National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement.
