After Sonu Sood, Swara Bhasker Steps Up And Sends 1000 Migrant Workers Home, Says She Would Have Felt ‘Ashamed Sitting At Home’
In these crucial times, Sonu Sood was a knight in the shining armour for many migrant workers who were stranded in the city. The actor took the initiative to help the workers to reach their respective destination. He has not only fed over 45,000 migrants on the streets but has arranged for buses for thousands of migrant workers. He has even set up a toll-free helpline for migrants so that they can easily ask for help. Getting inspired by the Simmba actor, Swara Bhasker too got down on the field and helped the distress migrants who are stranded in the country.

The actress said that she felt ashamed that she was enjoying the comfort in the house while thousands of migrants struggling in this hardship. Talking to Times Now about the same, she was quoted saying, “At a time when lakhs of people are out on the streets, facing extreme hardship, I feel ashamed sitting at home. This crisis has exposed the defects in our system.” She even shared some snaps of Swara contributing 500 pairs of shoes toward migrant relief efforts on her Twitter handle.

Sharing some snaps on her handle, she backed it with, “I’m very grateful to @ActionShoes & #AthleoShoes who‘ve kindly contributed 500 pairs of shoes toward migrant relief efforts. In another tweet, she mentioned that 583 migrant workers were sent to their native state in a migrant special train.
